That’s why I joined Business Doctors: to work shoulder-to-shoulder with small business owners, solopreneurs, and startups who are ready to take the next step but aren’t quite sure how. Whether it’s building a solid commercial strategy, getting clear on where to focus, or creating a plan that turns ambition into action, I bring real-world experience and a calm, practical approach.

Over the years, I’ve helped businesses of all shapes and sizes find their feet, scale up, and succeed, not with theory, but with honest insight and proven tools that work in the real world. I’m especially good at helping owners simplify the complex, make smarter decisions, and move forward with confidence.

What drives me? Making growth feel doable again, and seeing entrepreneurs fall back in love with their business. By strengthening businesses across the South East of England, I aim to contribute to a stronger local economy and create lasting opportunities for growth and employment.

When I’m not working, I’m deeply invested in my own learning and development – from diversifying my skills and adapting to industry shifts, to growing my network and staying informed. You’ll often find me tuning in to BBC Radio 4, exploring new ideas and perspectives I can bring back to the businesses I support.

My personality type is that of a mechanic. I take things apart and put them back together in a better performing order. I am not an entrepreneur, I cannot start with a blank sheet of paper but have huge admiration for people who start companies. I take huge satisfaction in helping companies improve and grow and like to get my hands dirty doing it, I am not a consultant type who just advises. The joy is in helping it happen!

I have lived in Richmond for 18 years and my wife and I feel blessed living here. Now it is my time to start giving back by helping local business owners in West London. After having travelled far to work by train or plane I look forward to driving or cycling to work!

I have lived and worked in six countries in 16 years for GE, the U.S. conglomerate. Since moving to Richmond in 2005 I have been CEO of four companies, two public and two private.

I keep fit by running in Richmond park and playing tennis. I have a passion for classic British cars which I rally and race. London is the best city in the world for performing arts and we go to concerts, theatre, opera and ballet frequently. I like cooking and love wine, am an avid collector and competed in blind wine tastings while at university. Now I lead a local group called “The Wine Thinkers of Richmond” that meets regularly and also travels to wine regions.

I’m the Business Doctor for Crawley and Redhill, and I’m passionate about helping SME owners build stronger, more successful businesses. I graduated from Manchester University with a degree in Retail Marketing and have since built a broad commercial career across several industries.

Much of my experience comes from senior leadership roles in major retail brands, including Sainsbury’s, Asda and Superdrug, where I worked as a Commercial Director both in the UK and internationally. I later moved into the hospitality sector, leading the commercial and consumer proposition for Greene King and the UK’s largest alcoholic drinks wholesaler.

During my time in hospitality, I worked closely with many SMEs trying to break into the market. Seeing the challenges they faced sparked a real passion for helping business owners grow and succeed — which ultimately led me to Business Doctors.

I’m driven, practical and enjoy tackling challenges head-on, helping business owners find clear, workable solutions that support long-term success.

Outside work, I enjoy cooking for family and friends, watching rugby and football with my two sons, and following my beloved Sheffield United. ⚽

I was born and raised in Northampton and have 30 years of business experience which I have gained during my career working for corporate and private equity-owned companies.

My role as a Business Doctor is to use this knowledge to help local business owners grow and achieve their goals.

My story began I became a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton after attending Southampton University.

I went on to hold several finance roles before taking on CEO roles for companies owned by private equity companies and within the private equity sector.

During this time, my focus was on growing businesses to create value for shareholders, and I would now like to replicate this methodology for the SME sector.

I have always taken great satisfaction in working with people to achieve growth and their business goals but also to help them with their personal goals through coaching, training, and sharing experiences believing that our working life is so much more important than just a job.

Out of work I love to travel and meet different people across the world as well as being a keen follower of local sports across football, rugby and cricket.
